Overhead Cranes

An overhead cranes, commonly called a bridge crane, is a type of crane found in industrial environments. An overhead crane consists of parallel runways with a traveling bridge spanning the gap.

Single girder cranes

Single girder cranes are hoisting devices primarily utilised for smaller lifting applications, as well as low to medium FEM working class environments.

Single girder cranes are ideally used in medium FEM working environments- efficient for smaller lifting applications.

  • Consider the following when deciding whether a single girder crane is right for you:
    • The Safe Working Load (SWL),
    • Span of the crane required (Rail centres),
    • Height of lift required
  • ADVANTAGES of a single girder crane includes:
    • Compact design with faster assembly and installation times- saving time and money.
    • Faster speed and higher performance
    • Both Chain and Wire hoist options available

Double girder cranes

Double girder cranes have two main girders across the span of operation. These cranes can move both vertically and horizontally

  • Double girder cranes have higher load capacity than single girders
  • Most double girder cranes are automatic or remote-controlled and can operate with quite a high duty cycle.
  • Installation methods on double girder cranes are flexible and customisable
  • Double girder cranes are significantly lower maintenance and quieter than single girder cranes
  • Balance and lifting is more efficient due to the smooth start and breaking that is standard with double girder cranes, thus minimising load swing
  • Our double girder cranes are built with Flame-, chemical-, and corrosion-retardant materials – leading to them being a longer lasting investment
  • Double girder cranes usually come standard with safety features such as variable travelling speeds and high FEM 2M safety factor on wire rope cranes.
  • Why use a heavy-duty double girder crane?
    • Ideal for the frequent lifting of larger and heavier loads.
    • No limits to capacity and minimum deadweight
    • Increased efficiency and higher performance motor
    • Greater hook height
    • High production load capacities.
    • Hoist monitoring system available.
    • Can be used both indoor or outdoor

Jib Cranes

When to use a Jib crane?

  • For small to medium load capacities
  • Loads below 5 tons
  • Great for precise movement and optimal lifting height
  • Flexible options for mounting
  • Ideal for small work areas- optimizes your company’s space by using no additional floor space (wall, floor or ceiling mounted)
  • ADVANTAGES OF A JIB CRANE?
    • Can be free-standing or wall-mounted
    • Chain block, Electric chain hoist or wire rope hoist
    • Lightweight design
    • Minimal operational knowledge required of the end user
    • Bolted to ceiling, pillar or ground to ensure safety and stability
    • Electrical slew to ensure smooth load travel

Semi portal / PORTAL cranes

When to use a semi-portal crane?

  • Ideal for lightweight buildings
  • Smaller operation
  • These cranes adhere to high standards of quality, in terms of technology and design – meeting all international criteria.

Why use a semi-portal

  • Cost reducing
  • Minimal space usage- increasing productivity per square meter
  • Offers flexibility
  • The lifting solution can be used for interior or exterior operations.

Portal cranes are the heavy lifters in the hoist world, along with tower cranes. They usually lift upwards of 80 to 100 metric tonnes in the form of shipping containers or other heavy-weight loads.
